JOB SUMMARY

This role is central to leading complex IT projects specifically focused on external client acquisition, integration, and ongoing service delivery. The incumbent drives seamless technology and process integration for new and existing external customers, ensuring on-time, on-budget project delivery while fostering strong client relationships and anticipating customer impact. This position requires strategic and detail planning, proactive risk mitigation, and a commitment to providing exceptional value and partnership to our internal and external clients.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a project leader with multiple medium sized projects. Contribute to the definition, planning, and delivery of multiple product and technology projects, working with the executive sponsor (Director or higher) and other management as required to ensure achievement of the defined project goals. Influence the successful delivery and implementation of cross-functional activities to achieve the desired results for a defined program and/or strategic initiative.

  • Lead and coordinate multiple medium sized integration projects to post-merger integration, or new client acquisition, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and timelines as they relate to integrating, migrating and implementing IT solutions and business process transition. Cultivate a customer-first attitude by forging relationships with stakeholders to better understand their needs and goals, and seek to discern what the customer impact will be for each project decision and/or action taken.

  • Develop detailed project plans, define scope, set milestones, and allocate resources to ensure successful execution of affiliation/new business activities. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues; proactively resolve roadblocks to keep projects on track across organizational boundaries.

  • Collaborate with all project stakeholders to proactively identify and mitigate project risks with frequent reevaluation and reprioritization of the risk register. Contribute to creation of communication strategies and execute to provide accurate and timely project information. Efficiently summarize and present complex ideas and/or data into a format that can be understood by all levels of the organization.

  • Support the implementation planning along with IT & Business Process transition post deal approval by coordinating data collection, analysis, and validation across departments to develop comprehensive migration plans. Monitor and report on project progress, deliverables, and key performance indicators to stakeholders and executive leadership.

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, including Finance, Legal, HR, IT, and Operations across Highmark, enGen, Highmark Subsidiaries & the affiliate/new customer cross-functional teams .

  • Drive integration activities, including systems, processes, and cultural alignment, to maximize deal value and minimize disruption. Document lessons learned and best practices to inform future migration, business transition and implementation projects.

  • Maintain the day-to-day operation of projects (including budgetary oversight and staffing) ensuring that all projects are reliably delivered on time, on budget and with a consistently high standard of quality.

  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

EXPERIENCE

Required

  • 3 years of work experience in project management

  • 3 years of work experience in delivering business solutions using information technology

  • 3 years of experience in Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite

  • 2 years of experience in Working with external stakeholders and/or senior organizational leaders.

EDUCATION

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in  Business Administration, Management Information Science (MIS) or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree.

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or Management Information

Pay Range Minimum:

$67,500.00

Pay Range Maximum:

$126,000.00

Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations.  The displayed salary range does not reflect any geographic differential Highmark may apply for certain locations based upon comparative markets.
