GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Serves as the primary contact point for EMS agencies and hospital emergency departments and ICU's within the assigned territory. Regularly collaborates with a wide range of individuals from entry level personnel to physicians to C suite executives and understands that any/all of these individuals may be a key contact in gaining referrals. Provide a living example of superb customer service to internal and external customers. Coordinate service recovery when necessary. In this role the incumbent will be a constant positive force for AHN's tertiary services, AHNEMM, LifeFlight, Prehospital Care Services and other AHN entities and is a staunch advocate for our customers. Maintains the highest level of integrity to function in this autonomous and highly visible position. Maintains confidentiality at all times.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts regular customer visits to hospital emergency departments, ICU's and EMS agencies within the assigned territory utilizing a consultative approach to build relationships, maintain referral volume and seek opportunities for growth. Is the expert within their assigned territory on contacts, changes and new opportunities. Creates documentation of all visits in Salesforce. (45%)
  • Coordinates and/or provides professional education within all market segments to include regional symposiums, LifeFlight safety training and other education as dictated by current goals within AHN or based on customer requests. Evaluates requests for public LifeFlight visits while balancing cost vs. benefit of each visit. (20%)
  • Initiates recruitment and subsequently participates in the onboarding of new clients through complex processes. This includes but is not limited to medical command agencies, new ED staffing relationships, new EMS pass through staffing opportunities, initiation of new LifeFlight base sites and other non-specific new business opportunities. (10%)
  • Participates as part of the Outreach Team in the planning of marketing efforts to include development of specialty marketing items, support materials design, evaluating events for participation and then staffing the exhibit area to professionally represent AHN at selected local and regional events. (10%)
  • Regularly reviews, understands and uses available data to understand changes in referral volume and identify opportunities for growth or new referral relationships. (5%)
  • Meets with key internal stakeholders (burn, cardiology, emergency medicine, LifeFlight, stroke, trauma) to keep abreast of changes and desired marketing messages. Coordinates taking physicians from these same programs on the road for face to face customer meetings as desired. (5%)
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required. (5%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • Basic Life Support
  • Paramedic or RN
  • PHTLS or ITLS
  • 5-7 years clinical experience in the hospital or prehospital environment

Preferred

  • 1-3 years experience in a consultative sales role in a medical environment

Pay Range Minimum:

$30.10

Pay Range Maximum:

$46.65

Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations.  The displayed salary range does not reflect any geographic differential Highmark may apply for certain locations based upon comparative markets.
