DEB RICE-JOHNSON: Hi, I’m Deb Rice-Johnson, President of the Highmark Health Plans and a proud member of the Highmark Health family for more than 30 years. I started my career in operations and throughout the years, I’ve seen a lot of change both within our company and across the health care industry. But amidst all the change in health care, one thing remains constant at Highmark. The customer is at the center of everything we do. From member service and claims processing to providing health coaching and creating benefit plans that put the member in charge. We are all working together to improve the lives of our members.
We are committed to making health care accessible, understandable, and affordable. And the commitment goes beyond our business. We are an integral part of the communities we serve and we encourage our employees to volunteer, connect and support with causes that are personally important to them. One of my personal passions is supporting veterans and doing that through Highmark’s Veterans Coalition. And there are others, including the United Way, American Association of People with Disabilities, and the Epilepsy Foundation.
