Since 1885, Allegheny General Hospital (AGH) has offered medical care to Pittsburgh and its surrounding areas. Specializes in and coordinates a comprehensive care program for patients with selected disorders of gastrointestinal, genitourinary and integumentary systems.
- Coordinates the care of patients requiring ostomies, wound/tube management, skin care, and incontinence management.
- Utilizes evidence-based practice, regulatory standards and the theories and principles of wound/skin management to coordinate hospital-wide skin care program.
- Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates educational programs for employees, medical staff, and students.
- Conducts on going analysis of stock/new items and makes cost effective recommendations regarding products/equipment for ostomy, wound and skin care.
- Current RN licensure in good standing
- Minimum 3 years RN experience
- 6 months or more of wound care experience (such as wound care certification or WTA)
- Willing to complete a WOCN Training program
