GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Provides nursing care to the patient undergoing EP/catherization procedures. Collaborates with the patient and physician to provide care.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducts pre-procedural assessment. (25%)
- Participates in the care of patients undergoing Cath Lab/EP Lab procedures. (25%)
- Provides proper documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards and requirements. (25%)
- Maintains a safe environment for patients during their Cath Lab and/or EP Lab procedures. (25%)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
- Current licensure as an RN
- Current BLS/ACLS
- One year critical care experience, or 2-3 years EP/Cath Lab experience
