GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This position provides data reporting and systems support to programs for research administration. The incumbent will coordinate data collection and reporting requirements and implement quality improvement strategies to ensure that data is accurate and submitted in a timely manner. The position will also be responsible for systems support within the department. The incumbent's expertise and judgment will be pivotal in data-related decisions.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate all aspects of data collection for programs to comply with the provisions of the regulations, including compiling relevant reports for clinical quality improvement projects.
  • Design and maintain reports including financial dashboards, patient activity and sponsor billing and invoicing and distribute to the appropriate leadership.
  • Develop database management guidelines and quality processes to ensure final operational data is compliant, accurate, complete and consistent.
  • Assist in providing ongoing summary of findings used to identify workflow/system issue and provide recommendations for quality process.
  • Provide software support the department, troubleshooting a wide range of technical problems and managing program's data in system. Integrate the program's data system with other internal and external data systems.
  • Serve as primary point of contact with software provider and IT support for ongoing and future system interface projects. Analyze and assess available data reporting software packages and provide recommendations on which packages would best suit the needs of the department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in information management or a related field
  • 2 years’ experience with reporting databases and/or managing the systems and data needs of a large clinical and research department
  • Excellent data management and analytical skills

Preferred

  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Experience with clinical trials research, federal regulations and policies and Epic
