Job Description : 

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This job will provide shift leadership for transport staff and team leaders. The incumbent will supervise all transport services throughout the facility.  The incumbent is accountable and has the authority to organize, prioritize and assign daily patient transport activities to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of patients throughout Jefferson Hospital.  The incumbent will monitor use of equipment or supplies and cover department positions as needed. The incumbent will ensures compliance with regulations, safety and patient care protocols and ensure that all customer service standards and quality standards are met for patients, staff and public.  

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitors the transport command center, to ensure that staff are properly using the system to maximize patients care needs  (25%)
  • Communicates closely with the operations manager to ensure that service needs for staff, departments, and patients are being met. (20%)
  • Perform regular inspections/observations to ensure quality standards are being met. (20%)
  • Resolves problems and service disruptions with a high standard of customer service and patient satisfaction.(10%)
  • Follow up on complaints to ensure effectiveness of issue resolution (10%)
  • Monitors completion of tasks and assignments, assigned to team leaders. (10%)
  • Other duties as assigned (5%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • High School/GED

Preferred

  • 5 - 7 years Prior job related work experience 
  • 1 - 3 years Prior experience in a supervisory or team leader position
