Job Description : 

GENERAL OVERVIEW:  

Coordinates, leads, evaluates, helps discipline, and supervises employees engaged in the Nuclear Medicine department functions. Helps maintain departmental operations at an optimum level of quality and efficiency. Delegates work flow and applies clinical knowledge as needed. Works as a team member.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform clinical procedures.
  • Orient and train staff in procedures as needed.
  • Ability to hire, fire, and discipline staff.
  • Assure that staff are appropriately assigned to procedures.
  • Assure that tests are correctly scheduled and completed.
  • Complete staff schedule for manager’s review. 
  • Help with performance plans and continuing Education for the staff.
  • To maintain supplies as needed.
  • Troubleshoot equipment to initiate repairs.
  • Communicate problems and information between staff and management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Bachelors or Associate's degree or specialized training of 25 months to 36 months in job related field.
  • Prior job related work experience of 2 to 3 years.
  • CPR
  • Must have a minimum of Heartsaver CPR - Course #1 which includes Adult CPR and Foreign, Body Airway instruction (FBOA). Further requirements are department and unit specific.
