Job Description : 

Highmark Inc., headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA has a work-at-home Manager, Data Analytics position (with the ability to telecommute with appropriate telecommuting systems; the remote worksite must be within commuting distance of Pittsburgh, PA for weekly trips to the corporate office) responsible for providing leadership for analytic efforts, including complex studies, simulations, and testing to develop and implement business plans, policies, and procedures related to business intelligence solutions.  Specific duties include: (i) planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling the day-to-day operations of the department; (ii) managing implementation and administration of business intelligence reporting tools; and (iii) monitoring and reporting status of department projects to management as well as anticipating, identifying and implementing corrective actions and mitigation strategies.

Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Statistics, Information Technology, or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in a related position. 

Must have three (3) years of experience with each of the following: (i) programming using Structured Query Language (SQL) and Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as (but not limited to) DB2, MS SQL Server, Oracle, or Teradata; (ii) developing software code for automating reports generation; (iii) performing quantitative and qualitative data analysis using SQL and SQL-based tools such as (but not limited to) SQL Developer, Teradata SQL Assistant, or IBM DB2 Client; and (iv) the software application development lifecycle as well as production support of software application programs.
