Job Description :
Highmark Inc., headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, has a work-at-home Director, Portfolio Delivery & Operations position (with the ability to telecommute with appropriate telecommuting systems; the remote worksite must be within commuting distance of Pittsburgh, PA for weekly trips to the corporate office) responsible for overseeing a portfolio delivery team and tracking overall performance of the technology project portfolio to ensure that projects are on-track and delivered within scope, schedule, and budget. Specific duties include: (i) establishing processes to collect, manage, and report data as well as delivering reports and insights; (ii) overseeing development of consistent reports, templates, and processes to ensure continuous improvement; and (iii) leading team performance management, including planning, organizing, and directing day-to-day operations of the department and developing/implementing policies and programs as necessary.
Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in a business, healthcare, or engineering-related field plus seven (7) years of post-baccalaureate and progressively responsible experience in a healthcare IT position.
Must have five (5) years of experience in a project and program management role.
Must have three (3) years of experience with each of the following: (i) strategic planning and delivery management; (ii) business IT alignment and business process improvement; (iii) system and financial analysis; (iv) .NET and Java development framework and technologies; (v) Object Oriented application development; and (vi) SQL and Oracle databases.
Must also have one (1) year of experience with healthcare business consulting.
Experience can be concurrent.
