Job Description :
Assesses, prepares, and provides nursing care to patients; provides ongoing care in collaboration with multiple physicians; provides and develops educational opportunities for staff and monitors outcomes.
- Assesses, develops, and administers plan of care and completes appropriate documentation. (30%)
- Communicates with attending physician regarding plan of care and involves physician in clinical decision making of any issues that are outside the RN's knowledge base or scope of practice. (20%)
- Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on individual needs. (20%)
- Communicates and coordinates patient care with patient, family, community health services and interdisciplinary team. (15%)
- Coordinates administrative functions for the Program, which may include staffing coverage and/or participating in marketing activities. (5%)
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies. (5%)
- Participates in the development and implementation of departmental and hospital performance improvement activities. (5%)
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
- Current PA RN Licensure
- Program area certification and/or CEU may be required.
- 1-3 year(s) of experience in field of specialty.
