Job Description :
Performs day to day clinical and patient care activities under the direct supervision of the professional nurse.
Allegheny Health Network is actively considering future 2023 Nurse Externs for the following AHN Hospital locations: Allegheny General Hospital, Allegheny Valley Hospital, Canonsburg Hospital, Forbes Hospital, Grove City Hospital, Jefferson Hospital, West Penn Hospital, Wexford Hospital, St. Vincent Hospital (Erie)
- Demonstrates competency in clinical skills (i.e. hygiene, nutritional needs, vital signs, and specimens).
- Communicates pertinent patient data accurately and utilizes time management skills to organize and prioritize patient care activities.
- Assumes responsibility for own professional development.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
- Enrolled in an approved diploma/degree nursing program.
- Graduation date anticipated for either December 2023 or the Spring/Summer of 2024.
