GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Analyzes and interrogates pacemakers, ICDs and implantable loop recorders across the cardiology practices. Supports the telemonitoring program by reviewing the data and maintaining Paceart.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge and understanding of pacer equipment. (20%)
- Analyzes and re-programs all pacemakers with various programs. (20%)
- Performs independently quarterly transtelephonic pacemaker checks. (15%)
- Is responsible for all data through PaceArt system. (15%)
- Reprograms devices as ordered by the physician. (10%)
- Maintains follow up appointments for Pacemaker and ICD patients. (10%)
- Conducts family and patient education on care of pacemaker/ICD's. (5%)
- Performs EKGs as needed. (5%)
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
- Associates degree and one or more years related experience and training
- BLS certification
- 1 year experience as a Senior Monitor technician
Preferred
- 1 year in electrophysiology field
