Job Description : 

After onboarding activities for compliance training, benefit selection and introductory activities, the Equipment Technician will be assigned to equipment and processes such as:

High Speed Color Roll-feed Re-winders and Un-winder, High-speed Mail inserters.

Incumbents will be trained by senior staff and vendor training. Performance will be tracked and measured by the incumbent’s demonstrated ability to learn new skills and put them to use effectively and consistently. Coaching and guidance by the incumbent’s team manager will provide constructive feedback on progress and deliverables on training, performance goals and core behaviors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide technical support and first call diagnostics for assigned Highmark peripheral equipment by executing basic diagnostics and implementation of corrective solutions for equipment repair. Develop and perform preventative maintenance schedule to not disrupt Highmark service goals and to ensure equipment is operating at peak efficiency. Accurately document equipment failures for trend analysis and parts usage. Develop and maintain inventory of expenses and usage of materials and parts to support annual budgeting guidelines. Be self-motivated and directed with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Work effectively with insert operators with the goal of improving their equipment knowledge and operator approved minor adjustments.

Incumbent will consistently address and escalate issues which impact Quality, Accuracy and Timeliness with senior staff or the Team Manager. Core Behavior competencies must align with the business code of conduct and working effectively and respectfully with co-workers and business partners at all times.

EDUCATION

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

EXPERIENCE

  • 1-5 years large and small equipment troubleshooting and maintenance, production compliant maintenance scheduling

  • Computer literate; proficient using Microsoft Suite (Outlook Email, Word and Excel)
