Job Description : 

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Oversees all regulatory requirements and reports key issues to the Director, Performance Improvement and Regulatory Affairs.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages compliance with all regulatory agencies and develops a comprehensive plan of tactical and logistical activities which includes setting compliance goals according to the most current accreditation standards. (20%)
  • Coordinates Periodic Performance Reviews to identify the current status in meeting ongoing compliance to JCAHO Accreditation standards. (20%)
  • Recommends education and information activities to be presented to hospital personnel based on current JCAHO standards requirements and the readiness status of the Hospital. (20%)
  • Generates status reports for JCAHO leadership team and/or Regulatory Readiness Steering Committee by utilizing internal audits, professional associations and references in collecting information. (20%)
  • Facilitates a working relationship with hospital management and medical staff to achieve the stated requirements of regulatory agencies. (20%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in healthcare setting and/or provider or insurance with special emphasis on JCAHO, DOH or other regulatory agencies

Preferred

  • BA/BS Degree
