GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This job manages the Relationship Management team and AHN IT Communications by creating and nurturing long-term relationships with staff and customers.  Understands major workflows and complex relationship within the AHN IT environment and assists the team in assignments and management of these relationships.  Develops, establishes and maintains comprehensive communication channels for the IT department to ensure that communication is clear, timely and concise.  Manages the employees and manages the day to day operations of the department. The person filling this role will be based at home but expected to come into the office occasionally.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Requires an excellent communicator who’s able to grasp customer needs and brainstorm ways to fulfill them.  The individual is able to manage multiple projects and advocate for customers to ensure projects come in on time and under budget.  This role is able to lead the RM team and communications for all of AHN IT and serve as a mentor for RM team members. (20%)

  • Helps develop and communicate the standardization and implementation of best practice initiatives identified by the enterprise; recommends clinical process improvements and clinical system development. (20%)

  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with hospital and institute leadership and ensure satisfaction with IT services. (15%)

  • Creates an environment that establishes collaborative practice that displays the presence of trust, respect and good communication among customers. Acts as a role model for the AHN Service Values. 15%)

  • Assists with the annual budgets. Ensures cost effective operations by scrutinizing resource utilization such as scheduling practices, payroll and inventory control. (10%)

  • Promotes cooperative problem solving, appropriate delegation, and the building of team spirit through individual counseling, and assumes responsibility for own professional development. (10%)

  • Conducts annual staff performance appraisals and goal setting, continual performance development, corrective action and disciplinary processes. Displays leadership skills that include, coaching, guiding and mentoring. (10%)

  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in Informatics, IT, Healthcare or Business OR 6 years of experience in lieu

  • 5 years as a relationship manager or relevant experience

  • 5 years in Healthcare

  • 3 years in Project Management

  • 3 year of effective leadership, negotiation, facilitation, and conflict management skills along with excellent administration, communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to concurrently manage multiple systems and projects.
  • Valid Drivers License

Preferred

  • Master's degree in Informatics, IT, Healthcare or Business
