GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This job collaborates with Executive Leadership to define, plan, and deliver capital equipment in support of Construction Projects across the enterprise; equipment can include clinical, radiological imaging, therapeutic, surgical systems and supporting integrations. The incumbent will manage the equipment life-cycle from selection through implementation and is responsible for the internal cross-functional coordination including contracting, facilities, clinical engineering and IT/Network integrations as well as supervision of vendors, subcontractors and third party resources required to complete the implementation within the project schedule and budget parameters.  

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand equipment requirements (space, utilization, infrastructure, maintenance)  and manage the coordination with our Architectural and Engineering partners. (25%)
  • Identify stakeholders, lead project meetings to determine equipment needs and drive decisions. (20%)
  • Manage the full procurement activities for capital equipment and accessories from quote through implementation in support of construction projects. (20%)
  • Coordinate equipment requirements cross disciplines internally to engage contracting, clinical engineering and IT/Networking. (15%)​
  • Develop, Monitor, evaluate, and report on equipment scope inclusive of  schedule, budget  and in accordance to the program and strategic goals. (10%)

  • Work with Contracting to ensure equipment standards are being captured, quantified  and contracted. (5%)
  • Other duties as assigned or requested. (5%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • High School/GED

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Engineering, Architectural or Construction Management
  • 3 years of managing multiple construction or equipment related project
  • 1 year of Architectural planning and design
  • PE, NCIDQ, NCARB, CSI OR  PMP

  • 1 year in Healthcare design or planning role

  • 1 year of project management role for applicable development project
