The Highmark Enterprise Effectiveness (E2) team is looking for Consultants to join our scrappy (and growing!) internal consulting team. Our mission is to annihilate inefficiency and improve health experiences by developing new and innovative approaches to the way we work across the Highmark Health enterprise. We do this by delivering consulting projects that optimize operating models, deploy new capabilities, reduce drivers of cost, transform our culture, and standup new ways of working. Our Consultants are a critical part of the team and take on roles that distill insights from analysis and develop and deliver recommendations to senior leaders.
This job might be for you if:
You enjoy solving problems. You love taking on difficult challenges, breaking them down logically, and finding creative solutions. You don’t get flustered easily, even in the face of ambiguity. And if you don’t know the answer, you dig until you find it.
You can manage your work and deliverables independently, whether it’s for a cost analysis, operating model, business case development, or roadmap development project. You know how to keep your manager informed of risks and can manage your work to hit deadlines.
You love the details. You can analyze the heck out of a data set and distill the insights into a well-designed PowerPoint slide. You think an elegant storyboard is beautiful thing.
You communicate clearly. You write well. You speak eloquently. You can tailor your message to your audience and you’re comfortable speaking up on video and in-person meetings.
You are motivated and driven. You volunteer for new challenges without waiting to be asked. You are curious about the world around you and love to learn new things. You take pride and ownership of your work. Changing healthcare in America is important to you.
To join our team, you need to have experience leading and driving change in a structured way (e.g., through an advisory or consulting type of role, investment banking, product managers, or other role delivering projects). Extra awesome if you have healthcare experience (e.g., provider, plan, pharmacy, or health technology).
Project managers (PMP), this probably isn’t the job for you, but perhaps you have a friend who would be a perfect fit. Send them this link. Thanks!
