JOB SUMMARY

This role is responsible for the delivery, and ongoing support, of products/services, applications, network systems, phone systems, and related solutions. Performs tasks including, but not limited to, software troubleshooting and upgrades, hardware troubleshooting and upgrades, PC troubleshooting, network cable patching and testing, and network troubleshooting. Maintains software and hardware inventories for phone and network devices. Provides operational support and analysis for the organizations infrastructure systems and peripheral equipment, such as desk phones, headsets, routers, modems, and cabling.  Performs remote and on-site support of infrastructure solutions, sometimes under guidance of senior engineers.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform on-site and remote operational support of IT Infrastructure technologies including, but not limited to, network, security, and voice solutions.
  • Perform analysis and resolve issues to restore normal IT Infrastructure operational levels.
  • Complete IT infrastructure project tasks on time, within budget, and within scope.
  • Assure compliance to company and department-required standards, procedures, guidelines, and processes.
  • Create and maintain departmental documentation.
  • Utilize ITSM tool to obtain workload, document end-user and internal interactions, and escalate tickets.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

EDUCATION

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent diploma

Preferred

  • A.S. Computer Science or equivalent degree

EXPERIENCE

Required

  • 1-3 years of experience in Information Technology
  • 1-3 years of experience with ticket-based support

Preferred

  • 1-3 years of experience supporting Avaya and/or Cisco technologies
  • 1-3 years of experience supporting enterprise environments
  • 1 or more of the following certifications (ITIL Foundations, Network+, A+, ACSS)
