JOB SUMMARY

This job performs activities related to inventory control for the PDL Distribution Center.  These responsibilities include but are not limited to: cycle counts, inventory adjustments, expiration date reporting, item setup, item slotting, and item maintenance.  The incumbent assists customer service with identifying recalled product as well as assist the purchasing team with item unit of measure changes.  Additional responsibilities include receiving of inbound freight, storing inbound freight, picking and packing orders, replenishment, as well as project work.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct daily cycle counts using PDL’s warehouse management system to create a daily cycle count batch.  Complete cycle counts for all cycle count batch locations.  Research, document and resolve inventory discrepancies using all available resources.
  • Receive all inventory, verify against order, distribute or slot all products per distribution center policies.
  • Setup each item in the system to align with requirements, verify all requirements are correct, maintain all item descriptions .
  • Track all expiration dates, report on expiration, insure expiration compliance with all inventory.
  • Monitor all vendors for any recall activity.  If there is an active recall investigate recalls and execute on recall activities.
  • Mentor, train and orient junior level team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.
