The Highmark Enterprise Effectiveness (E2) team is looking for Account Directors to join our scrappy (and growing!) internal consulting team. Our mission is to annihilate inefficiency and improve health experiences by developing new and innovative approaches to the way we work across the Highmark Health enterprise. We do this by delivering consulting projects that optimize operating models, deploy new capabilities, reduce drivers of cost, transform our culture, and standup new ways of working. Our Account Directors are highly experienced advisors who lead a portfolio of projects, uncover new project opportunities, are people leaders, and know how to balance strategy and execution.

This job might be for you if:

To join our team, you need to have deep experience leading and driving change in a structured way (e.g., through an advisory or consulting type of role, investment banking, product managers, or owning project delivery. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform management responsibilities to include, but are not limited to: involved in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity.  Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the day-to-day operations of the department; develop and implement policies and programs as necessary; may have budgetary responsibility and authority.
  • Responsible for the economic value (P&L, NVP) of a business units portfolio of Enterprise Effectiveness engagements.  Work closely with senior/executive leadership to identify, prioritize, and deliver large and small scale consulting projects that advance business outcomes and achieve strategic objectives.  Ultimate owner of engagement deliverables, resources (internal & external) and outcomes within a portfolio. 
  • Directly responsible for the SOW negotiation and subsequent management of 3rd party partners (eg., scorecarding, performance feedback, expense management).
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

EXPERIENCE

Required

  • 10 years in Post-Graduate Degree Experience in Strategy, Operations, Mergers and Acquisitions, or Human Capital Practice in a Consulting firm Environment

To Include

  • 5 years in Management experience and/or experience leading teams and/or projects of varying size and complexity

Preferred

  • 5-7 years of working in complex, matrixed environments or working in or across multiple businesses
