GENERAL OVERVIEW:
This job is responsible for playing a pivotal role in the pursuit of energy efficiency and sustainability within the Organization. This role involves analyzing energy consumption and spending patterns, supporting projects focused on energy and carbon reduction, and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This role may also take on project management responsibilities and contribute to the administration of utility accounts.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with the Sustainability Steering Committee meetings and stakeholder engagement (15%)
Track and identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve recycling across our facilities (15%)
Provides energy and emissions data processing and analysis to examine consumption and spend patterns and investigates anomalies and variances (15%)
Build and maintain relationships with facility managers, subcontractors, distributors, and other stakeholders to drive participation in energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives (15%)
Support the delivery of projects focused on energy and operational cost reduction and pursuit of utility rebates (10%)
As the Specialist progresses, they will have project management opportunities and take on increasing vendor and leadership facing responsibilities (10%)
Building financial, economic, statistical, and operational models using a variety of tools (10%)
Assist in bill administration process for all utility accounts ensuring that consumption and spend are tracked for the purpose of energy management (10%)
Other duties as assigned or requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
Bachelor's Degree in energy, resource management, economics, policy analysis, integrated science and technology, or a related field (OR) Relevant experience and/or education as determined by the Company in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
3 years of experience within energy management or sustainability field

Strong Problem Solving and analytical skills paired with high energy and enthusiastic attitude
Strong Organizational and task management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
