GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Provides coordination of activities and serves as a resource for staff and others within the department. Assist with the performance of endoscopic procedures and collaborates with nursing staff to ensure efficient functioning of the department.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs all job responsibilities of an Endoscopy Technician. Knowledgeable of gastroenterology physiology, pathophysiology, and procedural techniques being performed and assist accordingly. (50%)
- Acts a day to day resource for all Endoscopy Technicians. (20%)
- Demonstrates competency of procedures, equipment, and instrumentation per applicable department policies and procedures. (10%)
- Orients and trains new staff and students. (10%)
- Maintains supplies and equipment. Assures the integrity/condition and availability of adequate equipment. (10%)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
- 3-5 years experience as an endoscopy technician
CPR – American Heart Association
Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
