JOB SUMMARY
This job is responsible for the overall coordination, organization, implementation and evaluation of health promotion and burn injury prevention programs. Provides and develops educational opportunities for staff and pre-hospital personnel and monitors outcomes. Monitors patient outcomes in order to develop and implement quality and process improvement plans relating to improving outcomes. Collaborates with Burn Program leadership to ensure quality patient care.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and implements programs for outreach to organizations, schools, and communities throughout the primary service area. Oversees, develops and implements burn prevention programs. Develops public awareness of and presents/coordinates programs on burn prevention 35%.
- Maintains the Burn Registry and prepares documentation for the American Burn Association verification process per the American Burn Association standards 35%.
- Assists Burn Program leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of process improvement activities for the burn center 30%.
Other duties as assigned or requested.
EXPERIENCE
Required
1 year of EMS, pre-hospital, hospital, ED/ICU experience.
